The Awards recognise global leadership, innovation and achievement in the design, development, construction and refurbishment of sports and entertainment venues, destinations and spaces.
Our world-first in-stadium karting attraction won the Concourse Activation Award, which celebrates a project that has gone above and beyond in elevating the entertainment value of a venue.
It follows on from F1 DRIVE’s recent success at the European Club Association awards, where it was named winner in the Commercial category. It takes the number of awards our stadium and visitor attractions have earned since opening in 2019 to 33, across a wide range of categories.
F1® DRIVE - London is the world’s first in-stadium electric karting facility and London’s longest indoor karting track – housed beneath our iconic South Stand – the focal point of a long-term partnership between F1 and the Club.
It is the latest in a growing range of Visitor Attractions available at London’s newest sports and entertainment destination - including the Dare Skywalk, Stadium Tours, Heritage Tours and the OOF Gallery – driving visitors to the area 365 days a year.
This in turn contributes to the £344m GVA (Gross Value Added) generated in the tri-borough area of Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest, and the 3,700 FTE (full-time equivalent) jobs supported annually.
The one-of-its-kind experience is also driving diversity in motorsport by providing apprenticeship and career opportunities for local young people, with a focus on women and underrepresented groups.
