Common Questions
We have multiple track types and sessions to meet the needs of all racers and each session type will dictate the speed of the karts in use.
For anyone wishing to take part in a family session or have juniors under 14, then we advise a mixed grid or Rookie racers track, where karts will go <20MPH. If you have a need for speed, then our Elite sessions will have a top speed of 40MPH (please note, these are for 14+ only)
No, you don’t need a driving license to drive a go kart. However, age restrictions do apply. Our marshals will be happy to provide tips and advice if this is your first drive!
The minimum age to race at F1 DRIVE is 8. However, all cadet kart racers must be a minimum of 1.25m to drive. The minimum age varies depending on race type. Please follow the link to see the race type information.
You must be able to safely reach the pedals with your knees in a bent position to operate the accelerator and brake. To ensure this is the case, the minimum height for the Cadet kart is 1.25m and the minimum height for the adult kart is 1.5m.
We recommend a maximum height of 1.95 meters and a maximum weight of 18 stone.

Like all our attractions at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, our objective is to ensure F1 DRIVE is fully accessible. However, we advise against participating in go-kart activities if you have any medical conditions that may be adversely affected by physical exertion. It is important to note that if a particular condition prevents you from obtaining a driver's license, it is likely to restrict your ability to engage in go-karting as well. If you have a hearing impairment, our safety briefing video does have subtitles. However, this is not the case for all our in-race audio, so be sure to contact our team, by emailing contactus@f1drivelondon.com prior to your race day so we can ensure you get the most from your visit.
